A horse with no name

So a long 3 months ago I put a typhoon up for sale in my old home in A-X (Northern Stain Area).  On a whim I decided to drive my pod from 4GQ to A-X pick up my ‘phoon and roll down the pipe.  I fit no mods, I had no cargo, I just wanted to see what I could see and perhaps have  a bit of fun.

So “On the first part of the journey ,I was looking at all the life, There were plants and birds and rocks and things.  There was sand and hills and rings, The first thing I met was a fly with a buzz, And the sky with no clouds.
The heat was hot and the ground was dry, But the air was full of sound”…
quite an appropriate quote if I do say so myself. I drove up the pipe in my pod and saw lots of blues 1 tiny little pocket of reds and then well not much.

I grabbed the ‘phoon and just hopped in.  It had been insured about a week ago when I had thought about doing this same thing then but well it was insured.  No mods no cargo no nothing. I named her “No Name”

I undocked and hopped the first three jumps ( perhaps the most dangerous of the journey as this was a one way system.  All was quiet.  The next thirteen jumps were uneventful.

As I was warping from the inbound gate to PSJ-10, and I saw an Eris (light interdictor Gallente design) jump in just ahead of me. I jumped anyways.  Eris lit up the interdiction sphere on the wrong side of the gate.  I laughed.  Never ever set a bubble up when your not 0 of the gate.  Same thing for interceptor pilots do not orbit the gate stay still wait for the enemy to jump in. I aligned to a planet along the path of the gate and was at 72%  to my warp speed indicator and poof another bubble popped up…drat.  34 jumps with an  Typhoon and I get caught 5 jumps away from my destination…lol.  She was good horse but all good things come to an end one way or another.

I typed into local ” at least is is insured”  no reply.

Small note remember I had no mods. Typhoon crashed down around me as an Armageddon come sin close.  poof.  The pod killed.  no worries, no implants either.

I wind up in a station and then the interdictor plot asks me ” why didn’t any mods drop?”  I reply “there were no mods on the ship.”  He then asks again “why didn’t anything drop.”  I say again, “there was nothing.”  He seems baffled and asks if I am a Dev account.  I do not bother with a reply.  This guy clearly has been in space too long, the radiation must be getting to him.  It certainly made me chuckle.  The kill is here

So A horse with no name was killed, sad but was ok I got more in insurance than I could have sold it for so hey all is good.

Saw the Star trek movie, was excellent, I enjoyed it.

TC – good hunting

  1. Hahaha well fun is fun!

  2. You are right on both accounts Sard but a dictor bubble plus my little pod would surely have meant certain death šŸ™‚

On the other note your comment number 500! Gratz!

  3. Sorry you lost the ship but wow, that guy sounded like a real live, bona fide, DUMBASS! It's almost worst losing the ship just to meet one for real.

    Almost.

  4. Well, at least you had some fun with it. Considering the cost of my clones, and my inability to renew my jump clones, I wouldn't have your option.

Less fun but more practical, couldn't you have self destructed your ship, took the insurance from it that way, then piloted back in a shuttle? It'd have been a little safer for your pod, however that wasn't a concern of yours. Not to mention you wouldn't have had a Typhoon to play with if you did make it.
